1920 RICE PUDDING

5 | tablespoons | long-grain rice |
4 | cups | milk |
1/2 | cup | cane syrup |
1/2 | teaspoon | salt |
1/2 | teaspoon | ground cinnamon |
1/2 | cup | raisins |
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Wash the rice.
- Mix the rice with the milk, syrup, cinnamon, and raisins.
- Grease a baking dish; pour the mixture into the dish.
- Bake for 3 hours, stirring often to prevent sticking during the first hour.
Yield: 6 servings.
